2026-2027 IEB Regional Case Set Live, Registration Open

Wednesday at noon the brand new Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl case set was released by APPE. Skimming just now, there are cool cases on:

  • AI-autonomous weapons
  • Looksmaxxing
  • Polymarket gambling
  • Veiled calls for political violence
  • Calls to repatriate the Rosetta Stone from the British Museum to Egypt
  • More!

Registration is also open, with a limited number of slots available at each event. I’ve already registered my college team for the Ohio River Valley IEB regional to be hosted by the University of Cincinnati early December. And since the NHSEB case set isn’t yet live, I’ve dogeared two cases for my high school team to discuss at our weekly practice this afternoon: #7, “Equal Access Activism,” about accommodating the hearing-impaired at drive throughs, as well as #10, “To Be, or Not to Be…Forgotten?” about governments and platforms removing our online footprints by default and/or upon request.

Thanks to the good folks at APPE, IEB leadership, IEB regional organizers, and the IEB case writing committee for all the behind-the-scenes work this requires! If you’d like to register your team, browse regional options, or download the case set, visit APPE’s IEB site.
